ORDER AND DELIVERY

  • The Lost Recordings ships worldwide. Shipping costs may be added to your order. The shipping costs are automatically calculated once you have entered your shipping address.

  • We provide deliveries in The Poste, Colissimo, Chronopost, FedEx and UPS Standard. In France, shipping costs are from 6,90€, In Europe from 9,90€ and Internationally from 14,90€. Shipping costs are evaluated in function of the weight and the number of items in your order.

  • In France, if your item is available immediately, your order will be shipped within 24/48 hours and you will be delivered within 2 to 3 business days (Monday to Saturday, holidays not included). 

    If your item is only available as a pre-order, then an estimated delivery date is indicated on each product but also at the time of purchase, as well as in your email.

  • Once your order is confirmed, it is carefully prepared by our shipping center, located in the Paris area.

    When your order is processed and prepared, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking number.

  • In France, if your item is available immediately, your order will be shipped within 24 hours and you will be delivered within 3 to 5 business days (Monday to Saturday, holidays not included).

  • The Lost Recordings makes every effort to meet the delivery times indicated in the answers above. 

    First, check if your order has been shipped and if you have received your shipping email with your tracking number. A delivery notice has probably been left in your mailbox. 

    Secondly, check in your customer account or on your order confirmation email that you have indicated your delivery address. Do not hesitate to ask your guardian or your neighbors if they have received a package for you in your absence.

    Please contact customer service if you have done the initial research so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

    However, please be aware that delivery times may be extended in case of high demand (holiday periods, broadcasting on TV channels, etc...). Delivery services may be suspended due to certain updates to our system, or in cases of force majeure.

    The Lost Recordings cannot be held responsible for loss or theft of your order due to specific delivery instructions given to the carrier.

  • The delivery is made between 8am and 8pm. In case of absence, the deliveryman will leave your package in your mailbox or in a safe place (neighbor, guard). If you are absent on the day of delivery, a notice will be left for you to pick up your package at the nearest post office.

Returns and refunds

  • According to the legal period of retraction, you have a period of 14 days to return your order. This period begins on the day your order was delivered to you and not on the day you pick up your order at a relay point or at the postal services following a delivery notice.

    Once the deadline has passed, no returns are accepted. 

    If you are within 14 days, in order for the return to be admissible, you must ensure that the item is in its original packaging, unopened, undamaged, and unused. Moreover, the return costs are at the customer's charge. Once the deadline has passed, no return or exchange will be possible. 

    Returned items are examined and inspected, we can only release your item if it has not been damaged, opened or worn. If it is, we will not be able to refund you and we will have to send it back to you and ask you to pay for the shipping costs.

    You are held responsible for your order until we receive your return. To do so, we advise you to bring a proof of shipment. Similarly, we cannot be held responsible if items are returned to us by mistake.

  • Your order can be cancelled until it has been shipped. Once your order has been delivered, you have 14 days to retract and return your order and be refunded.

  • Exchanges are possible under the same conditions of return, you have 14 days to contact us and proceed with the exchange. Also, the article must not have been opened or damaged.

  • Once our logistics center has received and verified that the return conditions are met, the refund will be made within 3 days to your credit card or Paypal account.

about the items sold: vinyl, cd, HD download

  • After your purchase, you will receive an e-mail to download your album. It is recommended to use a computer for convenience. 

    Your download appears as a zip file. You must click on it, in order to open the folder containing your mp3 files.

  • Our HD downloads are readable on any media.

  • Many of you will confuse a mono recording with a disc pressed from a mono recording. While many of the recordings we have found, restored and edited were recorded in mono, our recordings are made in stereo with identical left and right channels in order to be both faithful to the original and compatible with modern stereo cells. Mono cells have diamonds 2 to 3 times wider (adapted to the mono groove) and much higher pressure forces than stereo cells: you risk damaging your precious records by playing them with mono cells - designed to play Shellac and other records from before 1960! (by the way, true mono records never (or very rarely) have a "mono" label, precisely because no stereo alternative existed at that time!)

  • Before each use, it is recommended to clean your record before placing it on your turntable but also before storing it. To do this, use an antistatic brush (carbon fiber brush) and lightly brush the surface. If you don't have a brush, you can use a soft cloth, as long as it doesn't lint.

  • If such a situation occurs, The Lost Recordings apologizes for the inconvenience caused during delivery. Before each shipment, a careful check is made to ensure that your sleeve is in perfect condition. In case you receive a damaged sleeve, please contact our customer service at contact@thelostrecodings.store, and send us a picture of your sleeve. We will take care of replacing your pouch as soon as possible.

  • If such a situation occurs, The Lost Recordings apologizes for the inconvenience caused during production. In case you receive a damaged disc, please contact customer service at contact@thelostrecodings.store, sending us a picture. We will take care of replacing your disc as soon as possible.

  • No reissues are planned due to current production difficulties. However, subscribe to our newsletter to be sure to be among the first to be informed of all our new releases and reissues.

Pre-order

  • When you add your product to the cart, the button displays "pre-order" instead of "add to cart". In addition, it is indicated in gold "Delivered from XX/XX/XXXX". Thus, the date from when we can ship to you is displayed.

  • No, if you have one or more pre-ordered items in your cart. All your products will be shipped at the same time. If you want to receive the available products now, then you can place separate orders.

Payment

  • You can pay online by credit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal. The secure payment tool uses the latest technology in terms of SSL data exchange protocol.

  • Once you have confirmed your order and received a confirmation email, you will be charged to your bank account within 3 days of purchase.
